PDs criticise NRA stance on motorway service stations
15/06/2005 - 12:31:44A Progressive Democrats Senator has criticised plans by the National Roads Authority to object to any proposals to build service stations on motorways.
The NRA believes such stations are not needed because they already exist in villages and towns.
However, PD Senator Tom Morrissey said this defeated the purpose of motorway schemes as it would force motorists back into towns which have by-pass roads.
