Reynolds settles ex-girlfriend case
15/06/2005 - 14:13:05Burt Reynolds has settled a multi-million-dollar legal battle with his former girlfriend.
The 69-year-old actor had sued Pamela Seals last November, claiming she was trying to extort money from him with false claims of violence. His court action came a day after she sued him for breaking promises and alleged physical abuse.
Reynolds' lawyer said: "Both parties are committed to putting this matter behind them." Both sides have denied the claims in the lawsuits. Her lawyer said the matter had been "settled to everyone's satisfaction".
