Destiny deny split rumours
Reports that Destiny's Child are to split up after their autumn tour have been denied.
A spokeswoman for their record company, Sony/BMG, said it was "not true", adding that group member Kelly Rowland did not make an announcement at a concert in Barcelona.
However, she confirmed it could be some years before another album from the chart-toppers is released.
Their record company's spokeswoman said making another album rested with the members of the group, adding they had not yet come to a final decision about their future.
This morning, a statement, said to be issued by the band stated: "After a lot of discussion and some deep soul searching, we realised that our current tour has given us the opportunity to leave Destiny's Child on a high note, united in our friendship and filled with an overwhelming gratitude for our music, our fans, and each other. After all these wonderful years working together, we realized that now is the time to pursue our personal goals and solo efforts in earnest."
