Poll shows Fianna Fáil loses popularity
Support for Fianna Fáil is dropping while that for the main opposition parties is rising, according to a poll.
The latest Irish Times/TNS MRBI opinion poll show a big shift in support towards a potential Fine Gael-Labour coalition after both parties agreed to enter talks on a pre-election pact
The figures show that support for Fianna Fáil is at 32%, down six points since the last poll in February.
Fine Gael is up three points to 25%, the Green Party is at its highest rating in five years and the Labour Party was also at the receiving end of a two point boost at 14%.
Support for Sinn Féin was also up by 2 points to 11%; the recovery follows a dip due to the combined pressure of the Northern Bank robbery and the Robert McCartney murder.
The fall-off though for Fianna Fáil comes after stinging criticism for the Government on the health front.
