Minister launches multimedia products for dyslexic children
10/06/2005 - 16:37:22Irish dyslexic children are about to get significant support on how to develop skills and overcome potential literacy problems.
A new DVD/video and Cd-Rom on the problem has been launched by the Minister for Education Mary Hanafin as part of a North-South initiative.
Mary Hanafin says this package is a superb aid for parents and teachers.
Ms Hanafin said: "It's about giving parents and teachers information about how to identify dyslexia and of course with the extra teachers that we now have in place for September in all schools to identify dyslexia and then to be able to give the supports neccesary."
"Hopefully the problems that children have experienced in the past can be addressed very early now."
