Protestors gather to demonstrate against possible deportations
09/06/2005 - 15:21:17Twenty people gathered outside the Garda National Immigration Bureau to protest against the possible deportation of a Nigerian mother and her four children.
Lola Adebayo, who currently lives in Athlone, is being forced to sign up for deportation at the bureau on Burgh Quay in Dublin city centre this afternoon.
She is worried she will be part of a mass deportation to Nigeria tonight.
Lola says one of her daughters, Faith, is sitting Junior Cert exams today.
"I am worried for my children. One of my daughters is sitting the Junior Cert examination. It is panic and fear. She cannot concentrate,'' she said at the gathering today.
