Organ retention damages case dismissed

The parents of two babies whose organs were retained by Holles Street Hospital in the 1990s have lost their action for damages at the High Court.

They were seeking compensation for personal injuries and distress caused by the news that the organs of their two dead babies were retained by the hospital.

Angela O'Connor and Jason Tormey were also claming negligence on the part of the hospital.
