New project to turn Carlingford Lough into sailing venue
09/06/2005 - 10:31:54A €500,000 project is being launched today in a bid to turn Carlingford Lough into one of the premier sailing venues on the east coast.
The lough lies between counties Louth and Down and on the border between the North and the Republic.
The funding will come from the EU, as well as councils and yacht clubs on both sides of the shore, supported by their local chambers of commerce.
