Ryanair settles case with pilot out of court
The case taken by a Ryanair pilot against the airline to stop disciplinary action against him has been settled out of court.
The agreement reached by both parties was signed this morning.
Lawyers for both parties told Mr Justice Budd the matter has been entirely resolved.
Details of the settlement have not been released but Captain John Goss will continue to pilot for Ryanair.
Ryanair's Head of Operations, David O'Brien, described it as an excellent settlement.
With regards to the two applications by John Goss to have CEO Michael O'Leary and two of the company's senior executives jailed for contempt of court, they have been abandoned as these matters have been dealt with in the settlement.
Mr Goss took the action against Ryanair to stop them taking disciplinary action against him.
He claimed that it arose out of his attempt to negotiate his terms of employment through a union.
