Rapper Harvey sentenced to community service
So Solid Crew star Michael Junior Harvey has been sentenced to 150 hours of community service for violently attacking a police officer in January.
The rapper appeared at London's St Albans magistrates court last month where he was found guilty of assaulting Constable Keith Harron and using threatening behaviour.
The court heard the 26-year-old was stopped by British police earlier this year for illegally using a mobile phone while driving his Volkswagen car, but he allegedly ripped off Harron's tie as he tried to arrest him in Welwyn, Hertfordshire.
And officers were forced to blast CS spray into Harvey's eyes to end the scuffle.
But the hip-hop star still maintains his innocence, insisting he fronts campaigns to teach children about police stop-and-search laws and would never be violent towards the police.
But he's ashamed by his abusive behaviour and is willing to make amends, explaining: "I will get on with my community punishment and get back to reality.
"I have learned my lesson and it is a bad example to kids.
"You live and learn."
The star, who is marrying Mis-Teeq beauty Alesha Dixon this Saturday, previously served a 60-day ban for speeding, after admitting to driving his Volkswagen without insurance.
