Kidman avoids nightclubs
Moulin Rouge! Star Nicole Kidman has pinpointed the perfect way to avoid cheesy chat-up lines at the hands of lusty men - she refuses to go to nightclubs.
The statuesque redhead, who has been romantically linked to Lenny Kravitz and rapper Q-Tip since her 2001 divorce from Tom Cruise, admits she feels "ridiculous" trying to socialise in noisy clubs, so she steers clear of them.
She says: "To be honest, I'm not out that much. I went to a nightclub the other night and I was sitting there and a guy said to me, 'So, do you do this a lot?' And I said, 'Actually, no… because I really don't get a lot from it.'
"You're sitting in a nightclub and you're going: 'Hello! And you are?' I can't hear, don't bother talking. Okay, I'm gonna go now, it's 1am and I've got to get up early!' What's the point?
"I mean, when you're in your 20s maybe, but I feel a bit ridiculous."
