Wolves reject fresh Miller bid
Wolves have rejected an improved Sunderland offer for wantaway striker Kenny Miller.
Miller, 25, who is currently with the Scotland squad preparing for Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier in Belarus, was placed on Wanderers’ transfer list at his own request last summer.
He was the subject of initial seven-figure Black Cats bid last week but the Molineux board knocked back the Wearsiders while indicating an improved offer would be needed for Miller, who has a season to run on his contract.
“We received a second offer but it fell way short of our valuation of the player and we communicated this to Sunderland,” chief executive Jez Moxey told Wolves’ official website www.wolves.co.uk
“The manager would be keen to keep Kenny for next season and unless a suitable bid is received, we are happy for him to stay and play for us next term.”
