Search for missing swimmer continues

The body of the 27-year-old English woman, recovered from the sea off Connemara earlier today, has been identified and taken to University College Hospital in Galway for a post mortem.

The parents of the woman, whose name has not yet been released, are on their way from London this evening.

Rescue workers in Galway are continuing their search for her male companion who has been missing since the alarm was raised this morning.

They were among a group of people renting a cottage in the area.
