Man dies in motorcyle accident in Carlow

A 37-year-old man has died after he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a bridge near Carlow town.

The accident happened at 7.45pm yesterday evening at Ballybannon Bridge.

The man was taken to St Luke's hospital in Kilkenny, where he later died from his injuries.

His name has not yet been released.
