Former minister still critical after brain haemorrhage

Former Justice minister Sean Doherty remains in a grave condition in hospital this evening, after suffering a brain haemorrhage last night.

The 60-year-old former Fianna Fáil TD for Roscommon is now on a life-support machine in Letterkenny General Hospital.

Three of his four daughters, one of whom is a Roscommon county councillor, are now at their father's side.

The fourth is making her way home from South Korea.
