Paltrow and Martin snub royal invite
05/06/2005 - 14:04:09Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin have turned down an invitation from British monarch Queen Elizabeth II to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace this summer.
The high-profile couple, whose daughter Apple celebrated her first birthday earlier this month, have decided attending the royal bash would not be to their taste.
Coldplay frontman Martin says: "We do live in the neighbourhood, but we didn't think we should go.
"As much as we like the Queen, I've still got years of rebellion in me."
