Iraq: Suicide bombing kills 11, wounds 12
03/06/2005 - 09:46:20A suicide car bomber was among 11 people killed in an attack north of Baghdad, Iraqi police and hospital officials said today. At least 12 more were wounded.
The bombing targeted a home late yesterday in a remote village near Balad.
A group of people had gathered at the house, 50 miles north of the Iraqi capital, US military spokesman Major Richard Goldenberg said.
He was citing a report released by Iraqi authorities in Salaheddin province. Further details were not immediately available.
