Two men arrested after gun attack on Tipperary gardaí

Two men in their 20s are in custody this morning in connection with an incident in which a shot was fired at gardaí in Co Tipperary.

The shot was fired by the occupants of a car that was being followed by officers at around 3am.

Gardaí apparently spotted the vehicle acting suspiciously near Fethard, but the driver sped away before crashing nearby.

Nobody was injured in the shooting and the occupants of the car are now being held at Clonmel garda station.
