Thousands on the move for bank holiday weekend

Thousands of people are on the move today as the traditional exodus for the June bank holiday weekend gets underway.

Bus Eireann is expecting to carry 200,000 people over the weekend, while Iarnrod Eireann is expecting a similar figure and Dublin Airport has predicted passenger numbers of more than 300,000.

Extra buses and trains have been brought in to cope with the increased demand, while air passengers are being advised to show up for their flight as early as possible to avoid possible delays.
