Asda recall key manager
03/06/2005 - 15:21:07Asda confirmed today it was bringing a key management figure back to the UK as the supermarket giant looks to shake off its lacklustre start to the year.
David Cheesewright is to return to Asda’s top team after 12 months as chief operating officer at parent company Wal-Mart’s operation in Canada.
News of his re-appointment emerged as industry figures showed Asda had fallen further behind rival Tesco in the battle for grocery market share.
