Mahon fined £2,100
02/06/2005 - 19:25:29Irish trainer Steve Mahon was fined £2,100 (€3,106) by the Jockey Club disciplinary panel today.
He was found to have declared Bloom Of Tara and La Motta to run at Southwell last November when neither had been in his personal supervision for the 10-day period leading up to the races.
He was also found to have given misleading answers to the Southwell stewards at an inquiry.
The panel also fined conditional jockey Chris Murray £500 for aiding and abetting Mahon, and misleading the stewards and an investigating officer.
