Webber completes Bramhall Lane switch
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock has completed the £500,000 signing of Watford striker Danny Webber.
The 25-year-old made a big impression while on loan at Bramall Lane last season and completed the formalities of his move yesterday evening.
Webber becomes the Blades’ third signing of the summer – joining former Leicester midfielder Lilian Nalis and ex-Millwall winger Paul Ifill at the Coca Cola Championship club.
“I’m so pleased that Danny has finally signed,” Warnock told the club’s official website. “There have been other clubs asking about him whilst he has been on loan with us.
“But he said from the start that he wanted to come here permanently and I’m delighted to finally settle the matter.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him in a rich vein of form after a good pre-season with us.”
