Whelahan tipped for Kelleher job

Former Limerick manager Padjoe Whelahan has been tipped to replace Humphrey Kelleher as Dublin hurling boss.

Whelahan controversially departed Limerick during the early stages of the league, and Kelleher was let go last weekend following Dublin's 12-point Leinster SHC defeat by Laois.

Dublin face into the qualifiers without a manager and the county board is under pressure to appoint someone sooner rather than later in an attempt to halt the slide of hurling in the county.
