Cabrera set for Wentworth return
30/05/2005 - 15:12:43Angel Cabrera’s victory in the BMW Championship has almost certainly booked him a return to Wentworth in September to battle for golf’s biggest cheque – the £1m (€1.4m) on offer at the HSBC World Match Play Championship.
The Argentinian now has a healthy lead in the race for two spots in the event from designated European Tour events with only the Smurfit European Open to come.
Ernie Els is second, but he is already assured a place at Wentworth as the defending champion, while third is Australian Adam Scott and fourth Paul McGinley, runner-up to Cabrera.
