Alan Reilly returned to haunt his former club as he set up all three goals for Drogheda’s biggest win of the season.
Gavin Whelan gave Drogheda the ideal start with the lead goal on four minutes.
Reilly’s in-swinging delivery was perfect and Whelan headed past Wayne Russell for his third goal of the season.
Poor defending presented Drogheda with their second goal on 24 minutes when Stuart Malcolm headed home Reilly’s corner at the back post.
Another Reilly corner was then turned into his own net by defender Pat Purcell for Drogheda’s clincher on 48 minutes.
