FG voting pact to dominate Labour conference in Tralee
27/05/2005 - 07:40:32Labour supporters from throughout the country are gathering in Tralee, Co Kerry, today for their party's 61st annual conference.
Around 1,000 delegates are due to attend the conference, which is expected to be dominated by the issue of a pre-election voting pact with Fine Gael.
A potentially divisive vote is due to be taken tomorrow on whether Labour should enter such a pact.
Party leader Pat Rabbitte supports the move, but other senior members are vehemently opposed and feel Labour should fight the election on its own platform and then consider its options afterwards.
