Court to rule on application to have Michael O’Leary jailed
25/05/2005 - 07:43:40The High Court is expected to rule today on an application by a Ryanair pilot to have the company's chief executive, Michael O'Leary, jailed for contempt of court.
Captain John Goss has claimed that Mr O'Leary and two other Ryanair executives breached a court order handed down a month ago directing them to allow the pilot to return to flying duties immediately.
Mr Goss is taking a court action against the airline, which told the High Court he was being kept grounded because of the strain of this impending action.
However, last week, the court heard that a medical examination had concluded he was fit to fly.
