Robbie Doyle came back to haunt Stephen Kenny with a late equaliser for Saints.

Doyle, whom Kenny released when boss of Bohemians, shot home four minutes from time to prevent Derry going top of the table.

St. Pat’s were the better side early on and took a 27th minute lead from a Keith Fahey penalty after Gerard Rowe was pulled down by Peter Hutton.

Derry appeared to turn the game on its head with two goals inside five minutes just after the hour mark.

Alan Murphy leveled with Mark Farren putting them in front from a tight angle.
