Critics not impressed by Britney and Kevin show
Britney Spears' foray into reality TV has proved toxic for some critics following its debut in the US.
Britney and Kevin: Chaotic premiered on Tuesday, with Britney shooting much of the programme herself on hand-held camera.
The Hollywood Reporter called the musings of the 23-year-old a "featherweight journey into self-indulgence" while The Washington Post called the decision by the show's producers not to release advance copies "an act of charity".
Filming on the programme began before Britney met husband Kevin Federline in a Los Angeles nightclub.
On film, Britney says she is looking for "someone kinda sweet and nice and that loves me a lot".
Twelve minutes into the show, that someone, Kevin, a 27-year-old dancer, comes onto the scene.
Asked his opinion on marriage, he responds: "I don't believe in it." What a great omen for their future!
