Bookies write off McCauls’ chances of Eurovision success
19/05/2005 - 10:57:03The bookmakers have reportedly written off Ireland's hopes of Eurovision success this year.
Reports this morning said the Irish entrants, Donna and Joseph McCaul, were not even expected to make it past the semi-final stage of the competition in Ukraine tonight.
VCBet, which operates in most European countries, is offering odds of 66/1 on the siblings triupmhing in Kiev with their song Love?
The firm is also offering 2/1 against the McCauls making the 10-strong final line up on Saturday night.
The Greek entry is the bookies' favourite to win the contest.
