Ryanair slams failure to allow private terminal in Dublin
19/05/2005 - 10:24:21Ryanair has slammed the Government's decision that the second terminal planned for Dublin Airport should remain in public ownership.
The Irish airline has been campaigning for years for a privately-owned second terminal to compete with the existing facility at the airport.
It has now accused the Government of breaking a pre-election promise to allow an independent terminal at the airport and described yesterday's proposals as "a disaster for Irish aviation".
Ryanair claimed the existing terminal was being badly managed by the Dublin Airport Authority and this situation would now be replicated in the second terminal.
