Insurance brokers want SSIAs reinvested in pensions
19/05/2005 - 11:31:27The Professional Insurance Brokers' Association has called on the Government to help people reinvest their SSIA savings in pensions products.
The association said the Government should introduce incentives encouraging people with Special Savings Incentive Accounts to switch the money into pensions when the accounts mature in the coming years.
It said such a move would be particularly welcome given growing concern about the fact that almost one million Irish workers do not have private pensions.
