Women shut shop as men left with droop
18/05/2005 - 10:15:11Frustrated Romanian women forced a 24-hour shop to shut down – because its cheap booze was turning their men impotent.
They accused shopkeeper Ion Barbu with destroying their sex lives by offering their husbands the chance to buy alcohol on credit around the clock.
“[It] caused several family rows that had ended in divorce,” said Dumitru Dila, of the Consumers’ Protection Office, who ordered the store to cease trading.
