Best named new Ulster captain

Ireland prop Simon Best has been chosen to succeed Andy Ward as Ulster captain.

It was a wonderful 24-hours for the 27-year-old, who was included in the 26-man squad for Ireland's Tour to Japan in June.

Ulster chief executive Michael Reid said: "Simon is respected by the management and his team-mates and should bring a fresh outlook to the captaincy."
