Govt begins debate on Aer Lingus and Dublin Airport

The Government has begun discussions about the future of Aer Lingus in its weekly cabinet meeting.

The sale of the State airline and the prospect of a second Dublin Airport terminal are top of the agenda.

However, there are no guarantees that a decision will be made this evening.

The Taoiseach told the Dáil this afternoon that only one terminal is on the agenda despite earlier reports that the Government was considering a third terminal at Dublin Airport.
