ISEQ climbs in morning trading
The ISEQ has climbed 44.87 to 4,061.92, today, buoyed by a strong performance by building materials giant CRH.
Shares in the company have climbed 28c to €20.28 today.
In the banking sector shares in Allied Irish Bank have climbed 18c while Bank of Ireland shares have risen 10c.
Anglo Irish Bank shares stand up 15c to €9.55 while Irish Life & Permanent shares are unchanged at €13.40.
Shares in consumer and personal care group IWP are unchanged at 12c. The board of the company warned today market expectations for the year ahead are unlikely to be achieved.
Elan has begun recovering from yesterday's fall to stand up 18c to €5.88 this morning.
Elsewhere Ryanair shares have crept up 2c to €6.07. Ryanair announced new routes from London to Poland today.
The most traded shares today are AIB, Anglo Irish Bank, Bank of Ireland, CRH and eircom.
