Cork's Murphy an injury doubt

Cork attacker Kieran Murphy has emerged as a major injury doubt ahead of the All-Ireland champions' opening clash with Waterford next Sunday in Thurles.

The Sarsfields club man pulled up in training on Friday and is thought to have injured his hamstring.

However, there is good news for manager John Allen.

Long-term injury victims Timmy McCarthy and Wayne Sherlock are on the road to recovery from hamstring and groin injuries respectively.
