Pat Purcell was the pivotal player tonight, by virtue of scoring the only goal of the game and also being was involved in the sending off of Saints' Keith Dunne.
A poor first half brought little by way of goal-mouth action with the only noteworthy incident the sending off of Dunne on 39 minutes after he tangled with central defender Purcell.
Purcell then struck for the only goal of the night ten minutes from time when heading home Colm Heffernan's corner.
