McLeish considers consequences of failure
Rangers manager Alex McLeish is prepared to “face the consequences” if he fails to win the championship next season.
The Ibrox side’s title hopes for this term were all but ended when Sunday’s Old Firm defeat left them trailing Bank of Scotland Premier League leaders Celtic by five points with just four games remaining.
But McLeish is confident the new faces he plans to bring in over the summer will make all the difference next season.
He told the Scottish Daily Express: “If I can improve the squad over the next few months with the players I want, then I am confident we will get it right next season.
“I realise we need to take another step up and win the title again.
“If not, then I will hold my hands up and face the consequences.
“It’s going to be a big season for all of us.”
