Seamus Mallon makes election plea
26/04/2005 - 15:45:30The former deputy leader of the SDLP, Seamus Mallon, in the last major press conference of his political career, has warned of the direction the North is going.
Mr Mallon has said the two extremes, the DUP and Sinn Féin, risked "Balkanising" people in the North into sectarian boxes.
He has said moderate, responsible people in the disappearing middle ground should raise their voices before it is too late.
