Mentec acquires Xdat Software
Mentec International, which provides integrated financial management, ERP and eBusiness solutions, has acquired Xdat Software Ltd, the London-based Microsoft Great Plains specialist.
The deal, part of a larger acquisition programme, is the second UK-based purchase by Mentec in six months.
Founded in 2001, Xdat Software is the third largest UK partner for Microsoft Great Plains, the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for mid-sized organisations.
Announcing the deal at Mentec’s Dublin headquarters, managing director, Kevin Haverty, said: "The addition of Xdat Software to our operations enables us to more effectively deliver consulting, development and support resources to the South of England, and provides us with a sizeable customer footprint in the Greater London region.”
Xdat Software is the third Microsoft Great Plains reseller to be acquired by Mentec. The company purchased Ireland's largest reseller; Sequel Financial Systems in 2001, and more recently, in December 2004, Sytation Ltd, an East Midlands-based Microsoft partner. Mentec is now the second largest Great Plains reseller in Europe.
