Irish 'complacent' about credit rating
25/04/2005 - 14:46:10A large number of Irish people are complacent about their credit rating according to the financial services firm GE Money.
The company said one-third of respondents to a survey it carried out in Ireland said they did not know or did not care if they had a poor rating.
Spokesman Eoin Lynam said: "It's obviously something to be very concerned about because, if somebody has a poor credit record, it may hamper their ability to get a personal loan, a car loan, a mortgage or any kind of finance for the lifestyle that they want to lead."
