Cork’s poor home form continued as Drogheda maintained their unbeaten away record with this vital win.

Kevin Doyle crashed a shot off the Drogheda bar on ten minutes, the closest City came to scoring.

Drogheda then won the game thanks to an 80th minute penalty. City keeper Michael Devine pulled down Declan O’Brien and Damien Lynch scored from the spot.

Drogheda finished the game with ten men after Graham Gartland was shown a straight red card following a clash with Alan Bennett.
