Decies gives youth a chance against Down

Waterford manager Justin McCarthy has decided to mix youth with experience for tomorrow's National Hurling League relegation section clash with Down at Dungarvan's Fraher Field.

Seven of last year's Munster championship-winning side are named in the starting line-up: Declan Prendergast, Tony Browne, Dave Bennett, John Mullane, Dan Shanahan, Eoin Kelly and Eoin McGrath.

Ian O'Regan replaces Seamus Brenner between the sticks, Liam Lawlor starts in the heart of defence for the injured James Murray, while dual player Eddie Rockett makes his senior hurling inter-county debut at left wing-back.
