Button back on form in practice

22/04/2005 - 14:30:13
Jenson Button returned to form in practice for the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola today to put him on course to avenge his poor start to the season.

The BAR-Honda driver has suffered an awful start to the season with three consecutive retirements but his impressive testing form continued when practice got underway at Imola.

Button was faster than ever in testing after Bahrain and he set the second quickest time today, the top time from a race driver.

McLaren tester Pedro de la Rosa, who does not have the same engine restrictions which hinder racers, was fastest with a lap of one minute 20.484 seconds with Button 0.568secs behind.
