Cullen claims cabinet row is not terminal

Transport Minister Martin Cullen has played down suggestions of an emerging rift over the second terminal planned for Dublin Airport.

Mr Cullen said yesterday that he wanted the terminal to remain in state ownership, but the Tánaiste and Progressive Democrats leader Mary Harney said she wanted it run in competition to the existing terminal.

Asked about the matter in Waterford today, Mr Cullen said: "People have different views and people are entitled to express those views.

"My job is to try and bring those views together and come out with a good outcome and that's what I'm doing."
