Mariah advocates UK smoke ban
22/04/2005 - 12:16:27Mariah Carey has urged the UK government to follow the Irish Government lead and ban smoking - so she can party in London without fear of ruining her amazing voice.
The singer, aged 35, admits she usually has a low-key social life when she visits the British capital because the bars and clubs in the city are so smoky.
Carey says: "I'll go to a club (in Britain), but you guys smoke so friggin' much, I can't sing for ages after. If everyone in England stops smoking cigarettes then I'll come and party."
