Barlet is back in season five
22/04/2005 - 14:12:45Creator Aaron Sorkin’s sure hand is missing from The West Wing: Season 5 (Warner), the political drama series which lost some of its momentum towards the end of the series (season 6 continues the drift).
Still, in the absence of any other US political drama series, it’s still intelligently written and boasts an impeccable cast from President Bartlet (Martin Sheen) to Stockard Channing.
Following his daughter’s kidnapping Bartlet steps down temporarily as John Goodman fills the gap, presenting several problems for his staff. Six discs, but no extras. Pity.
