SRU delay D-Day decision on Williams
Scotland coach Matt Williams was today given a stay of execution but his days could still be numbered.
The Australian delivered a presentation to the board of the Scottish Rugby Union this morning and they considered a detailed report on a poor RBS 6 Nations campaign.
The SRU were expected to make a decision on his future this afternoon but they have delayed that until the end of the month as they seek more information.
A statement read: “At its meeting this morning the board of Scottish Rugby received a presentation from Matt Williams, the national coach.
“It also considered the comprehensive report prepared by rugby division on Scotland’s performance in the RBS Six Nations Championship. The board will continue to review all of the information provided and expects its deliberations to be completed by the end of April.”
