Haggas duo in action on Saturday
21/04/2005 - 10:32:16William Haggas is set to unleash his Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes entries Brunel and Polar Bear in different warm-up races on Saturday.
Brunel, winner of last year’s German 2000 Guineas, is set to make his seasonal debut in the betfred.com Mile at Sandown Park, while Polar Bear is under orders for the totesport Leicestershire Stakes at Leicester.
“Both seem to be in terrific form, but my team seem to be a bit rusty at the moment,” said the Newmarket trainer yesterday.
“We’re a bit behind, we’ve yet to get off the mark this season, but we haven’t had many runners.”
Haggas is still seeking a jockey for Brunel but he has already secured Tony Culhane for Polar Bear.
